Steventon House Hotel - Abingdon-on-Thames

The FABULOUS food was a good touch. The bed was extremely comfy and the rooms were recently refurbished.

By and large, it was excellent base for sightseeing in Abingdon-on-Thames, had much fun and met competent staff in morning and night porter. The breakfasts here were enjoyable with the usual cereals and bacon, for example. The location offered was good and beautiful really close to the establishment from the outside, the railway station and Didcot and other places and the outskirts of Oxford/Abingdon.

We loved exploring the nearby attractions and hitting the dance floor in Oxford. The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was a nice touch. Parking was easy too, so that was a plus for our group.

One downside was finding some bird droppings on our car after a night out. Quite unpleasant, to say the least.

The experience had a few bright spots like the friendly staff and decent breakfast, but the room left much to be desired, with dusty corners and a bathroom in need of cleaning. Noise from the hallway made restful sleep hard, which dampened an otherwise pleasant atmosphere.
